Saturday Snapshots!

Here's my first linky! Linking up with Run! Miss Nelson's Got The Camera for Saturday snapshots!

So I'm going to share a few photos from this week. This has been a fun week! My husband has been on vacation, so we have done a lot this past week! Here we go!

My favorite munchkin got her first haircut! We had it cut at Magic Kingdom (since we are both Disney junkies) and it was an amazing experience!

I was covered in stickers as a distraction...

 Pixiedust to finish it off!
Printed my lesson planner freebie from Surfin' Through Second! Love it!

My first National Pro Fastpitch game! I was so excited!

 Pride win!

First linky all completed! Go me!

July currently.

Here's my July "currently" ...little late. But yesterday was a long day! :)

My daughter LOVES my iphone. She's addicted to it. She can turn it on, find her apps, start them up and just go. She probably has more apps on the phone than I do, which is pretty scary...no wonder it's running out of memory...

LOVE when my husband is home and we get to do stuff together! We saw "Slippery When Wet" (a Bon Jovi cover band when we went to EPCOT on our honeymoon. They were amazing and we had the best time. I was so excited to see them again!

Although I love the rain, I really need some sunlight in my life right now! I'm getting kind of desperate, it's summer vacation and I NEED the sun to come out and remind me how much I love being off work. I'm not really one of those cuddle up on the couch people..it's nice but after about 5 minutes, I'm ready to move on.

I don't really have a tip, trick or hint at this point...just trying to make it through my first "real" blog post.

Thanks to  Oh Boy, Fourth grade for the currently. I hope I do this link thing right!

First Post & Little Tikes Upcycle

So here it goes. I've always wanted to have a blog, and never knew what to put on one. Now I'm about to give this a shot.

Last weekend, I found a toy box and a rocking chair at a yard sale for 5 bucks. Pretty sorry looking, with crayon all over them. You can tell they were stored outside, they were faded and just neglected looking. Nerveless, I decided to get them anyway, and just try to repaint them. Here's the before pictures, though it's a little hard to see how rough they really looked.

After a good scrubbing with some bleach, most of the crayon had come off. So off I went to get some spray paint. I used a Rustoleum brand that has promised to stick to plastic. It started looking something like this.

A few coats of spray later the toy box was finished, and the chair was almost done.

I also had to replace the bottom of the toy box because the wood in it was awful! So a quick trip to Home Depot and they were able to replace it and cut it to size for me.

And here you have the finished products!!
